What is involved in the Pre-Camp Fitness Evaluation ?
  • We want to learn about YOU. What do you want to achieve by participating in boot camp? What are your specific goals? What support can we provide to empower you to reach them?
  • We'll measure your weight, hydration level, body composition, muscle mass, physique rating, metabolic age, bone density, basil metabolic rate, and visceral fat. We will also take measurements around your tricep, waist, hip and upper thigh to see where you are prior to beginning camp. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence. The same measurements will be taken at the end of camp to see how much you have improved.
  • How about your current nutrition program?  We will ask you basic questions about your current diet, the importance of good nutrition as it relates to your success in reaching all your fitness goals and how we can support you.
  • You will learn the proper form for all the new exercises that you will be performing in boot camp so that you will be confident and prepared to have a great workout each and every time you come to camp!
  • We will go over what you need to bring, what to wear and what to expect and give you your Boot Camp T-shirt.

What do I need to bring to camp?
  • One set of dumbbells, typically 5# or 8#.
  • Exercise mat (not a yoga mat, they  wear out too fast. Target has mats that are about 1/4" thick and have velcro straps to keep them rolled up).
  • Water
  • Wear good running shoes (We cannot stress enough how important good shoes are!  Get yours at Road Runner Sports, mention boot camp and receive a discount!)
  • Keep a hat and gloves in your car for those times when we warm up outside.
Is there a diet program included?

A free nutrition seminar is included in the cost of boot camp. Nutritional support and guidance is also provided although a specific diet program is not included.

What kinds of women join boot camp?
Women just like you. Women who want to feel better, have more energy, lose weight and body fat and get stronger so they can be better at whatever they choose to pursue in life. There are women from the ages of 26 to 64. Women who want to get faster in a sport they play, as well as women who have not exercised in years. They are professional women, athletes, stay-at-home moms, students, teachers ...women who have chosen to live their lives with purpose and passion.

What is a typical day in boot camp like?

There is no typical day in boot camp. That is what makes it so fun and so successful!  Your mind and your body are constantly challenged because each day is different in terms of the exercises you will be doing and the format you will be doing them in. Sometimes you are working in a group, sometimes with a partner, sometimes by yourself. Each workout will challenge you at a deep level. You will find out what you are made of, and you always find out you are made of much more than you thought! Each day begins with a dynamic warm-up followed by a 30-45 minute full body workout that may include resistance bands, medicine balls, dumbbells, body weight exercises, kettlebells, plyometrics, circuit training, cardio and more.  Each workout burns an average of 600-800 calories. Camp ends with a series of gentle yoga stretches.

Running of the Green 7k

What other events are included or offered?

You are joining a community of women who become friends very quickly because of what you are experiencing. Other events and activities outside of your workouts include local running races, hiking, snowshoe trips, ski days, hut trips, and educational or community related events.  You will receive more details about special events during the course of camp.

What if I need more individual attention?
The class sizes are small enough so that you will receive individual attention during each workout. Your coach is dedicated to learning about YOU and all of your needs and will address those during the duration of your workout.

What if I have physical constraints?

There are modifications for every exercise! Your coach will even give you a different exercise as needed to prevent further injury.

Can I switch day or time if I have a schedule conflict?

Yes! You sign up for a class time each week via
MindBody Online, our scheduling software. If you need to change a day or a time, simply sign in and change the day/time you will be attending class.

What is the monetary investment in myself?
You can purchase the unlimited package (up to 20 workouts a month) for only $199. That is only $9.95 a class! You may also purchase an 8 camp punch card for $132/month. You have the option to register for 3, 6, or 12 month packages. The longer the commitment you make to yourself, the more money you save.
